It all started with Bob & Betty many years ago bringing their little family to the beach once a year for a week. The cleveland family has now been going for years and have not missed a year. We look forward to this every year, and had a wonderful time. Can't wait until next year. Nicole Madsen took some family pictures for us down at the beach. She did a great job! So I know I am going to get a lot of comments about the 3 a.m. post, but what can I say? I can only get things done when everyone is asleep, and with a D.P. I could be up all night. So I know I am a month behind, but here it goes anyway... Mckenzie loves to play with her friends. Her two pals that she is mostly always with are Morgan and Macey. It is so funny to watch them, listen to the conversations that they are having with eachother. It's priceless and I never want to forget her at this age.. Every year we are able to partcipated in helping out with the Children with Cancer Christmas Party. I look forward to it every year. I always feel so grounded when I come home from it. The kids are amazing. The family with Steve is a favorite that I get to see every year. Their little boy has a blood cancer and is doing very well in fighting it!! Mckenzie has been taking dance for almost two years now. We got to come in and see a little show of "Santa Claus is coming to town" too cute! Thanks grandpa steve & grandma kip for coming to watch! I am not to proud of these pics but they are worth the post. We went to 2 Sweater Parties this year, but only got pictures of the Jolley's. They were both so much fun and there is nothing better than dressing up and acting silly! These photos were taken at the preschool christmas party. Kaylee would not sit on santa's lap, but she did ok with Mrs. Claus. This is the first year that Mckenzie would sit on his lap!

Well the night of Halloween, Mckenzie came down the stairs (after being in her "Aquamarine" costume all day)& decided that if mommy was going to be a cheerleader than she was going to be one as well, so she was! It was like pulling teeth to get Skyler to dress up, but he did and decided to be what he is every other night of the week...a tennis player (does that suprise anyone?) Our family picture.. and yes this is my high school cheer uniform..thank you very much! Kaylee getting her face painted..she sat still what a miracle! We went Trick-or-treating at the mall during the day..with Spencer & Carson! Sisterly love... they love to hug eachother all of the time and Kaylee always says "oh sissy" as she is squeezing the heck out of Mckenzie, which usually ends in a fight between the two!

Robin, Hailey, & Jason Groff Running for Robin

My marathon training is coming to an end! I have been training for the past 5 months to run a 1/2 marathon. I know it seems like a long time to train, but I have had to work up to it. Let's face it I couldn't run a mile when I first started and now last Sat. I ran 12! Hooray!!

I've decided to run the Two Cities Marathon 2008 in Fresno, CA and raise money and awareness for research leading to a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma. As a motivation to run this marathon, I have chosen a close family friend Robin Rozier Groff as my honoree who, in this past April lost a courageous battle to the terrible illness of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. And that is when I decided to run for Robin...

"Never in a million years did I ever think that at 28 years old I would have to go into the boxing ring for the fight of my life. In an instant, my life changed. It is times like this where you realize where all of your priorities should be and your heart ponders the true meaning of life. My hope and prayer is to make it through this so that I can be a better servant to humanity, a more patient wife and mother, and I can help others who will go through similar trials."

144 Popcorn Balls made by Skyler, Kip, & Me!

-This last Sunday we had our Primary Program, which I must admit went quite well. We had 144 kids to place on the stand and that was quite tricky, but through it all and the only 2 practices that we did have..the program went unbelievable(thanks to lots of prayer)! So after the program we passed out the popcorn balls to the kids to let them know how much we apprecitated them. I had many people come up and ask me for the recipe so I decided that it was blog worthy..here it is (I got the recipe from Kip so I can't take the credit).

Candy Corn Popcorn Balls

Boil: 2 cubes butter

1 1/2 C. sugar

1/2. C. light caro syrup

Gently Boil for 1-2 Min. Do not overcook

Add to: 3 bags popped microwave popcorn

3 C. mini marshmellows

optional: stir in 1 bag of candy corn form into balls! Enjoy!

So the reason why we went to the fair on Sat. was because we had VIP seats to see Demi Levato perform. It was filled with little school age girls screaming and yelling (sky was a good sport). For those of you who don't know who Demi is she is like a famous performer on the Disney Channel; equal to the Jonas Bros. She starred in Camp Rock with them. Anyways, Mckenzie loved it, and I thought she was a great perfomer for her age! She actually sang to Mckenzie a few times and held her hand and tossed her hair....she thought that was so cool! Not quite old enough to know what is going on yet! But she sure is cute!

So every year since living here in Fresno we try to make it to the "Big Fresno Fair". Last year we went only to see Chris Daughtry perform. This year we thought the girls would like it. And they did, we went on a Sat. and it was super crowded. Of course you have to try the fair food, this sign made me laugh everything was fried. This monster dog that we got was good the first few bites and then not so much (look at the size of that thing?) Mckenzie got to pick four rides to go on after Skyler tried four times to try and win her a goldfish, that never happened. She had a hard time getting on the first ride since parents we not allowed to ride, but after she loved it and wanted more.... You would think she would be riding the colossus or something with her hands up like that!

when your livin' in a van down by the river.... Kaylee would not get out of the drivers seat of this cool shaggin wagon. She thought she owned it! This was Mckenzie's favorite station. The Pizza Factory. She loved making the pizzas and taking orders and using the cash register, I had to pry her away from it to go and see what else was there to look at. When we discovered the medical room, Mckenzie loved playing with the skeleton and all of the medical equipment.

For a preschool fieldtrip we went to a Children's Museum. It is about 45 mins away from our house. So I decided to bring Kaylee and she loved it just as much as Kenzie. It was a fun filled day.

This is my first choice of best family picture because I love the background with the wagon. The only thing that I am not too crazy about is Kenzie's face in this picture. But I must say we will always remember her at that age being such a diva. This is my moms favorite family pic because we are all smiling. I like it too, it's so hard to choose. One of the main reasons why we came out to Utah was so that I could go to my friends wedding. Her name is Lindsay and if you don't know her she is a hard person to describe because she has so many great qualities about her. We first met in high school we had mutual friends and we just connected. We were roommates @ SUU for a semester and then I decided to ditch college life and get married. I feel so old thinking that I have been married for 6 years. Anyways, it was such a pleasure to see her on her wedding day. Her dinner was beautiful and the words that were said from her family and friends were priceless. It was the perfect night for the perfect bride & groom. Seeing them reminded Skyler and I of when we were first married. I love ya Linds, thanks for always being such a great friend. Have fun on that Honeymoon.... This was the first time that Skyler has ever wore cowboy boots..i think he looked pretty good! Tate & Mckenzie Kaylee & Ellie When we were in Utah we had the chance to go horseback riding with our friends Marc & Casey. His parents have a ranch out in Spanish Fork. We had so much fun we can't stop talking about it. We aren't as outdoorsie as we would like to be, so this was such a fun experience. I can't even remember the last time I rode a horse. I was so nervous so they gave me the slow blind horse that wouldn't take off if his life depended on it. Skyler on the other hand was on the nervous horse. He had a little scare, but it turned out to be alright. I must say it was very relaxing and peaceful to be out in the country on a horse. The morning after I did feel like I had given birth again...that was my only complaint! The girls had a blast and they love the outdoors!

After the Byu game we all met at my aunt Claires house in Alpine. She has a backyard that is to die for. We had a little party for the kids and played ring around the rosie. It is always so much fun to meet with my cousins, we always have such a great time.

Mckenzie actually liked Cosmo this year, last year she was afraid of him.

So we obviously went to the Byu football game while we were in Utah! We got some great seats thanks to a friend of ours(I won't metion any names). When we got there we had already scored a touch down and from then on out it was pure craziness, I have never seen the men cheerleaders be so winded from having to run the stadium almost five times around in one first half! Needless to say we had a great time. We are still Cougar Blue through and through...

For Mckenzie's Birthday party we decided to have a "Fancy Nancy" Birthday party. If anyone has not read these books, I highly recommend them. They are so fabulous. We had a fun day with lots of little "fancy nancies" that came. My favorite part was the cake. My friend Yanni made it, and it was a hit. Thanks so much Yanni for helping me put this together. Also thanks to Skyler who did the dinner part of the party. We had a great day and now we are off to Utah..to see all of our family and friends there. Happy Birthday Mckenzie we love you so much and we are so happy that you are in our family!

So I was on the phone with my mom last night and I was asking her if she knew the reason why we celebrated Labor Day. Obviously we know it's supposed to be a break for everyone to not work, but she said the real meaning should be to celebrate all of the mothers who have gone through LABOR in pregnancy. I think that is a great idea. From now on I will always think about all of the ladies who have had to go through torturous hours and hours of pain, in order to bring our little ones into this world. Thanks mom for giving me a whole new outlook on Labor Day. Lets be honest here..labor sucks, and men will never understand what we go though..I don't care who you are!

So picture this..we all wake up in the morning to the sound of the ocean and the morning breeze coming through the windows. The men are usually gone before we get up because what Cleveland male does not enjoy either basketball or tennis. They tend to disappear for hours at a time in the early morning. The girls are busy trying to get the kids breakfast and waiting for the men to come home so we can go on a morning run/walk before the sun gets to hot that it's not enjoyable to exercise along the beach. So this particular morning I was trying to get something done and I wasn't paying attention to the girls, which I must admit happens more than it should, but moms are just busy what can I say. So all of a sudden I hear in the kitchen the sound of hundred little coco crispies falling to the floor and this is the picture I got right when I came in the kitchen. All I could do was laugh about and move on and vacuum. Just one of those mommy moments that happens everyday...but I love them not matter how dirty it may get!

Cleveland Family Reunion 2008...

It all started some 30 odd years ago, when the once small Cleveland Family took their children to Newport Beach every summer. So small in fact that everyone could fit in one little house. Now we need a house for every child in the Cleveland Family. We look forward to going each and every August. It truly is one of the main highlights of the summer... Bob & Betty Cleveland...Where this whole crazy group got started! My sweet little MaE MaE... We were also able to go to DisneyLand with my parents before we went to Newport. We had so much fun with my parents. It was so nice to have them there. We took Mckenzie bright and early and my parents stayed back at the Hilton with the baby until after her morning nap. They met up with us then and we enjoyed the rest of the day together. I have come to accept the fact that DisneyLand is the "happiest place on earth" Here is a quote from Casey Cleveland about what he thinks of Disney Land..we agree.... So we decided to go to a Dodgers game on our way to Disneyland and the beach. We happened to get great tickets from one of Steve's friends and front row parking, which just made the game so much enjoyable. We were also able to see our good friends the Brothersons while we were at the game, it was great to see them and their cute family.

I know this is about a month late to post, but it's better late than never. We had so much fun with Skylers cousin Jana, her hubby Brandon and daughter Brielle.. coming back to Fresno to visit. Can you believe all of these babies. We have a few more that were not pictured, but you get the point..we have lots of babies in the family, that are all around the same age This was the tutu that I made Brielle..if there is one thing I love to craft it's tutu's, cause it's impossible to mess up, and hardly any sewing is involved! The cute Parker family..Tyson, Cara, Jenny, & Jon... we just love them! Last but not least, the darling Brielle. 4th Of July (Re-Cap)

The 4th of July makes Mae Mae want a hot dog "real bad"... as we were driving off from Kip and Steves house we looked back at Kaylee and she had got a hold of the hot dog buns and had like 6 scattered all around her with a few bites out of each..it was hilarious! For the 4th we spent it in Fresno. Emily and I ran the Freedom Run in the morning. We went swimming at Copper River during the day and then we spent the evening at Skylers parents house with some of the FSU Basketball players and coaches and family. It was a fun filled day! Great Grandma Betty was talking to Kaylee and she was so into whatever Grandma was saying to her, it was like she knew every single word that came out of her mouth. It was so sweet. Emily and I with the two little babies... we are enjoying them living in Fresno so much! This is the cake I have make every year for the 4th since we have lived in Fresno. We make it and serve it with homemade Raspberry Ice Cream...it is sooo yummy!

David Cook wore the Bulldogs baseball jersey in honor of the Fresno State Baseball team who just won Nationals. He was really great! You gotta love David A. He was amazing. We caught a pic of this poster it was hilarious.... Brooke W. came out on stage without her shoes on because she couldn't find them. She did a wonderful job on the piano and guitar. By the way we were loving the new camera. We got some really good close up shots. What a funny memorable night!

This past year we have had so much fun watching Mckenzie dance. She absolutely loves it. She had her very first performance at the Saroyan Theatre, which is a pretty big theatre to perform for your first time. She has made some great friends in her class. Thanks especially to Hannah's mom- Angela for taking the picures and the video. Since I didn't have my camera and I couldn't get our video camera to work- thank heavens for other prepared moms. Since It is Fathers Day I just wanted to post a little something for my dad. Since I have his present and card still here with me because I was not on the ball enough to mail it before. I just want my dad to know that I love him so much and I am so grateful for the values that he and my mother instilled in me to become who I am today. He is such an amazing man, though quiet and keeps to himself (which it is kind of hard to get a word in with my mom and I around)! We can't believe that one year has already come and gone. It's amazing how fast time flies when you are having the time of your life. This past year has been full of joy, more than we could ever imagine as parents. It has been so great watching you grow and develop with all of your first milestones. You have been such an easy baby to raise (thus far-lets keep it that way). Your sister just adores you and it is the best thing each day to watch the two of you play and interact with eachother. Kaylee was born on Skyler's grandpa Bob's birthday! We decided this year to celebrate their birthday together. So we invited some family over since it was on a Sunday and had a dinner and a little party. Of course Kaylee was great right until all of the guests started showing up. During dinner she was being such a pain that I layed her down with a bottle and she slept right through her whole first birthday party. Mckenzie didn't mind because she was able to take charge and do what she does best, which is open presents. I made her wear Kaylee's birthday hat so she would remember who the presents were for. Thanks to all of the family who came and for the fun presents! Kaylee woke up once the party was over. So we threw her a mini party. Skyler, Mckenzie and I sang her Happy Birthday and let her blow out her candle. And of course she got to dig in and eat her yummy icecream cake that Grandma Kip made for her. Daddy's girls. He was feeling a little left out that he was in none of my recent posts on the blog. Because we spent most of the first part of May in Utah. So I am trying to take and post lots of pictures of him to make him feel better! Gotta love these two!

For Kaylee's first birthday cake, Grandma Kip made her yummy homemade chocolate ice cream swirl cake. It is to die for... For a snack/centerpiece I made this rice krispy flower pot. It was so much fun to make. I used colored chewy mentos as the centers, and green long sour gummies as the leafs. It turned out really cute. One suggestion if you make this make sure you make the flowers really thick so they will stay on the skewers, some of mine were too thin and slid right off! I made this little poster for Mae Mae the girl above reminded me of Kaylee and the girl underneath reminded me of Mckenzie. I also did a little combo glass candy jar with colored candies. And I labeled my drink which was limeaide mixed with sprite, so people knew what they were drinking, plus it's a cute way to decorate. What turned into a small little project turned into a bigger project. I started off making her a normal sign and then I got idea upon idea and I crafted and crafted until this came out! I love it so much I am going to laminate them so I can use this banner again. Since I spent so much time on it. I guess I was needing to fill a crafty void at the moment!

Congrats Katie! Class of 2008.. One of Buchanan High School's finest. We have loved being here in Fresno to see Katie through her High School years. I can't believe that she is all grown up. I first met her when she was in 5th grade. Man does time fly! We love you Katie and we are so proud of all of your accomplishments, but most of all your sweet and christlike example that you are to all of those around you. Good Luck! This is Mckenzie's last day of preschool for the school year! She has absolutely loved it. We still have two more years and we are so excited. I love teaching when I get the opportunity, I love the kids they are so great and so smart! Thanks treehouse moms and kids it was a great year! The kids went on their last fieldtrip of the year to the zoo. They had the stingray exhibit going so they all got to touch them. Don't worry we made sure they washed their hands extra good! So for mothers day, since I was driving home from San Fransisco all day mothers day and didn't really have a celebration, Skyler got me tickets to Carrie Underwood. He knows she is one of my many favorites right now. So we were able to go with Skyler's parents and his sister. It was awesome Josh Turner opened for her and he was great! We got to sit in a suite right above the stage. Thanks Skyler for thinking of me, I had a great time.. Love Ya!

Lately Mckenzie has been loving to put on jewelry and put music on and sing and dance..very entertaining! My two little love bugs, always playing together and making each other laugh (or cry)! We went to Cher's 1st Birthday Party @ Chuck-E-Cheese. It was so much fun to get together with old friends, I can't believe all of the kids we have, so crazy... So we decided to start an annual retreat with some of my friends from high school. We went up to Deer Valley and stayed in Emilee's family condo. We went shopping at the outlets. Had a great dinner and rented 27 dresses. But we didn't quite make it to the movie because we stayed up until 4 am talking. Brings back memories of being single and staying up late. Addie and Kaylee we the two babies that came along. We were missing Bella, Cher, & Mckenzie but we were glad to get a little break as well!

Danielle did such a great job cutting Kaylee's hair. She cut it into a little bob and then put her hair in pig tails. Thanks Danielle! This picture reminds me of pictures I have in the past. Kangaroo Zoo & Cousins..

We met up with my cousins Danielle and Amanda, & Amber along with their kids. We took them to Kangaroo Zoo to let them get out all of their wiggles. We tried attempting getting a picture with all of the kids on the couch, but this was the best we got. To our suprise we saw some of our good friends there. This is Hailey and she is one of Mckenzie's friends. Her mother passed away from Leukemia a little over a month ago, and so she was staying with her Grandma Wendy "Chicky Wendy" is what Mckenzie calls her. It was so fun to talk with them for awhile and let Mckenzie and Hailey play. I know this is a blurry picture, but I just wanted to show Skyler that yes, I did go down the slides with Mckenzie (I am not a fuddie duddie of a mom all of the time) My cousin Amanda and her week old daughter Lydia. It was so fun getting to see her and her much needed little girl. I say that because she already has two little boys that keep her very busy! Congrats Amanda & Brock!

It was so much fun getting together with Erin, Kathryn, and Lindsay. We went out on a whim one day and decided to go up to Gateway Mall in SLCC. We ate lunch at Cheesecake Factory and went shopping. I have not had that much fun in a long time. Every second we turned around there was a funny situation from getting drinks at Starbucks(ask me later) to shopping at Anthropolgie and Lindsay's steal of a deal summer dress. Also you should ask Erin how to take a baby stroller down an escaltor she is a pro.. Thanks so much girls..for fun unforgettable memories. Bo... a love- hate realtionship! My sister has a Maltise named "Bo" and he didn't exactly like that we came and took over his territory for 10 days. He was always barking and causing problems. There was a few times where my mom and I had had it with him and we toyed with the idea of letting him go. But of course my mom is a softy and she loves bo too (sometimes).

BYU Womens Conference...

Our sweet prophet Thomas S. Monson. We were fortunate enough to get great seats in the closing session of Womens Conference. I have never felt the spirit so strong when the prophet walked in the Marriot Center and we all stood in silence (the place was packed with women from all over the world). All of a sudden someone started singing "We thank thee oh god for a prophet" so we all joined in and soon the whole congregation was singing accapella. It was a very special experience not a dry eye in the house. I was so grateful to be able to go to Utah and be with my mom and sister and hear all of the wonderful speakers. We are definately making this a tradition we decided. "The full house...lots of estrogen!...." Mom, Alyssa. & me (alyssa and I decided that we wanted to produce a movie called "Sisters in Zion" and have it be about women at womens conference. We have never seen so many funny situations in our lives. From ladies running like crazy to make it in to the next class of their choice, because there were not enough seats..to waiting in three different lines for lunch because they were out of Costa Azul(just like Cafe Rio for you non Utahns) salads every time we made it to the front. Funny memories, can't wait until next year. My mother-in-law Kip was also there and I went with her to Laurel Lawrence's class. She is a friend in Fresno and teaches the most amazing classes. She has so much knowledge about the church and the scriptures. She taught a lesson on how to "Simplify and Unclutter our Lives".

Mckenzie's 1st Hair Cut...

So I finally convinced myself that Mckenzie needed a real trim. She 3 1/2 and we have never cut her hair. It has been hard lately getting her to let me even brush her hair. And then to put it in a pony or half up, or in a clip (forget about it). It's so frustrating sometimes. I just want people to know that I try doing her hair and two seconds later she has pulled it out and it is down and straggly ( is that even a word). Oh well, hopefully this is just a phase. Before.... Grandma Kip the hair stylist cutting away... After... a much better look (especially for summer, cause it gets so dang hot here).

I love this little ray of sunshine with all of my heart. She is constantly making me laugh and smile. I can't imagine life without her or Mckenzie for that matter. She has her two bottom teeth and her two top teeth are creeping in. She loves to hug other babies and she is a little rough with them, but only cause she wants to love them ( you can tell she has an older sister so she can fend for herself). She is a lot more chunkier than Mckenzie ever was, infact Mckenzie likes to wear Kaylees shorts because they fit her just perfect, she says. She hates fruit and loves veggies. She is attached to a blanket that on of Skylers high school girlfriends made for him back in the day. It is so soft and she has just grown attached to it..kind of funny! Well we look forward to celebrating her first birthday here in a month! Love you Kaylee Mae

I can't believe that Katie is a senior and will be graduating High School at the end of the month. Where has time gone, I am serious it's not even funny. I must be getting old, which I thought would never happen. We are so proud of Katie and all of her accomplishments. These picures were taken at the Buchanan High Ambiance Fashion Show. Katie looked absolutely amazing in all of her outfits. And was the most modest by far, thanks Katie for not letting it all hang out, like some of the others. I must add that Katie is up for Prom Queen this year at Buchanan! We love her, and we will miss her if she decides to go hang in Utah for awhile.

So this weekend in Fresno they had the Time Out for Women. I wasn't planning on going but at the very last minute my friend called me and had an extra ticket. I went Fri. night and all day Sat. with my mother-in-law Kip. We had such a great time. The speakers were amazing and it was just what I needed to hear. I will post a more update summary tomorrow, for my mom to read and for anyone else who wants to know what the topics were. If not just skip over them. I have to read through my notes. The musical talent was great and the speakers were wonderful. I feel totally happy and refreshed..a sneak preview into Womens Conference in a couple of weeks. Cousins Night Out...

Skylers cousin Jana was in town. So we all thought we would get the cousins together from both sides so we could all see her. It's always nice to have an excuse to go out to dinner. It was so fun to see her and little Brielle. We need to make these girls dinner a monthly thing! What do you think? We went to Strings Italian Cafe, which is one of my favorites. Love the Pepperoni Calzones and their house salads, and you can't forget the best part the cheesy garlic bread.

The Cleveland Crew of Cousins... All Because Two People Fell In Love....Bob & Betty Cleveland and their posterity! "Here is Mae Mae holding her first Easter Egg.." Filling her basket with eggs and looking for that one Golden Egg... On the Saturday before Easter we went to Copper River Country Club, and did the easter egg hunt, and met the Easter Bunny (who kenzie wasn't too fond of). Then we had a nice brunch out on the patio by the golf course. We brought Skylers cousins Anna & Camille with us. The girls had a blast. We decided this was a tradition we want to do every year! The Cleveland Family Easter Egg Hunt. Every year for Easter we get together with the Cleveland side and do a dinner and Easter Egg hunt for the kids, well actually there is something for all of us. Grandma Betty is so good about making sure we all get something. It was a fun day at Craig and Marianne's. We came home with way too much candy. Most of which I am now still throwing away.

So I am sitting here on the computer right now, and I wish I had my camera. The baby is asleep for her nap and Mckenzie is just sitting here quitely next to me on the floor eating her grilled cheese sandwich and chips. All of a sudden it gets quiet and I look down and she is laying on the floor slowly eating her chips as she is falling asleep. It is hilarious! I live for these moments..Just like the song says on my blog..by Trace Atkins....your gonna miss this...your gonna want this back! and I know that I get frustrated daily about doing the same things over and over. Cleaning, laundry, wiping up messes, but I know I better enjoy this time in my life cause it will go by so fast and I know I will end up missing it. So that is it for now just a little thought. well being that it is almost tomorrow...which is Easter

1:put the girls easter baskets together before morning.. and make sure I leave some crumbs from the easter bunny. (Mckenzie wrote the easter bunny a cute letter and left him out some cookies)

2:wake up! get me and girls ready in Easter attire: always so fun, except for the part that I have to fix Mckenzie's hair and most of the time it ends in a wrestling match.

3:church, sing in ward choir

4: Make a salad for our easter dinner

5: Go to Easter dinner at Skylers uncle Craig's house. Meet with lots of the Cleveland Clan and have great food, good company, and an easter egg hunt

Most Important..remembering the savior and the atonement. What a sacrifice he made for you and for me to be able to return with our father in heaven someday!

2. I haven't exercised regularly and forcefully as I would like for a really long time..i keep putting it off! But I must say i work it off by running up and down my stairs like 50 times a day and chasing after my kids all day long.

3. I like to buy thing s online and on sale! which is good, but sometimes I buy too much!

1. i have to use a coupon for almost anything i buy.

2. i work in the Operating Room helping the Dr.'s put peoples fingers and hands back together. Sometimes it can get gruesome, but I have learned to absolutely love it.

3. i am going to start playing tennis this spring/summer. Beginners of course.

4. i always am worrying about other people and hoping that they are doing ok. I always feel a need to call and check up on people. i guess it is just the mother in me.

5. Last but not least, I am madly in love with my hubby and I think he is the most amazing man on the face of this earth, and the best father to our two special nuggets!

So my Best Friend from High School just left this morning to go back home to Utah she came out to visit for a few days while Skyler was down in Palm Springs for a tennis thing. We had so much fun with her and little baby Cher. Again I am SICK...because i thought there was hope when Erin came that we could get some pictures with her camera, but it just so happens that she forgot to bring her camera! So for the full weekend we were again cameraless! I can't even stand it when had so many KODAK moments! The best was when we had Mckenzie, Kaylee, and Cher in the bath all together and they were all standing up with their little bottoms facing us! It was hilarious..so that just means that Erin will have to come out again soon so we can get some pictures! We had lots of fun just hanging out and going shopping out to eat. Talking about the past and how we have known eachother since 6 grade, but we became good friends in 8th. Today is her 26th Birthday and I just want to let her know how much I love her and I am so glad that I have a friend that I don't have to talk to everyday or see every month, but that when we get together it's like time has never stopped we just pick up from where we left off. I will be forever greatful to have a friend like her. Thanks for coming out to Cali...hope Chris didn't spend too much money in Vegas! One day while Erin was here I called to get a babysitter. They were all going to see the new movie Horton Hears a Who...so they just said we will bring her along with us.. Thanks so much Taylor and Brooke and family for adding an extra child to your trip. Mckenzie just loved it...and it was nice getting some time to shop without her, but now looking back had we brought her with us I wouldn't have spend near as mcuh money as I did, but oh well such is life! This is a picture of the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament in Palm Springs.. Skyler was there this weekend with his uncle Jon. They live for this trip every year. We went last year, but this year it was a guys only trip. They had a blast watching all of the pros. practice and play. The were eating at this Irish Pub and were sitting right next to Nadal..that was pretty cool! Well maybe next year we will barge in and go with him cause it is a really fun time...but i will be fine just hanging out at the pool with the girls in the beautiful weather!

A fun Visit From My Family...

So I am so sick that I could not find the cord to charge my camera, so therefore it is out of order. These past two weeks have been full of fun actvities and I have not one picture to show for it except for these two pics of alyssa and the girls which she took on my mac, that I just found. So thanks alyssa for always wanting to take pictures of yourself, it came in handy this time! j/k... Well to begin my parents and alyssa drove late into the night to get here, and made it safely, just barely though my dad can't drive worth a darn in the dark (sorry dad, but it's the truth). THe next morning my mom woke up really sick with flu like symptoms, and was really sick the whole time she was here. So, we kept her quarantine from the rest of us, and it worked cause none of us got sick which is a miracle. So once it was time for my parents to head down to San Diego for my dad's job interview, my mom kind of started to feel a little better! Alyssa and I decided that we would meet them in L.A. the next day! So we drove there with the two girls and had a blast. We went to THE Grove a mall in L.A. which is near Hollywood! I highly recomend it to anyone who is down that way. We visited the American Girl Doll store.. I thought Mckenzie was going to beg me for a doll, but she didn't she wanted the bath that the baby goes in and i was not going to pay $50- for a bath..i was trying to talk her into these cute dolls I was going to get one for her and mae mae, but I didnt cause she didn't seem very interested. So we ended up going to Pottery Barn Kids next door and she wanted to iron all of the clothes in the play area. So we bought her a cute pink iron and I am looking for a cute woodem ironing board now! Then we ate where we ate when I came down with my friends a few weeks ago..The Farm they have great food and most of all really yummy desserts! Especially their brownies, cupcakes, and choc. crossiants! We finally met up with my parents who had been driving for a really long time becuase they kept getting lost and traffic is horrible in L.A., we checked into our hotel and changed and the girls were off to see WICKED! Yes, i know i am crazy for seeing it twice in two weeks, but i love it so much i could see it over and over! My sister loved it and the whole play my mom kept leaning over and saying that I reminded her of GLINDA and Alyssa reminded her of ELFABA! (thanks mom, i am not sure if that is a compliment or not) They loved it, and it was a perfect night out with the girls! My dad was a trooper, he babysat both kids for about 4 hours in a hot stuffy hotel room and managed to have them changed, fed and to sleep when we got back! What an awesome Grandpa he is!-We appreciated it soooo much! Thanks Dad We Love YOU! The next morning we drove to Santa Monica Pier and played out at the beach for awhile. The water was still to cold to get in so we put on feet in and the baby was all into the sand. She was trying to eat it! We ate at Bubba Gumps for lunch and then my parents and Alyssa left to head home to Utah and I drove us girls back to Fresno! It was a great week and I am so glad that my family could come out and visit us... We love you and we miss you already! -sorry for those of you who had to read this boring travel log- I wish I had actual pictures to show for it!

This last weekend I was able to go away over night for the first time without my kids...and Skyler! It was a really quick trip, but it was so much fun. Wicked was amazing it was the 2nds time that I have seen it, but it's good no matter how many times.. I was able to go with a few close friends of mine from Fresno. It's funny to say this but I just got off the phone with my mom and my family is coming next week, so we planned another mother and daughters trip to see Wicked. So yes, I am going to see it again in week but the tickets are a lot cheaper if you go on a weekday and not a weekend. We had great food, lots of shopping, and a safe drive home..which is a load off my shoulders cause I was the one driving!!

What would these girlies do without their father. He has such an impact on them each and everyday. When we are both home he is the one that they want. He is so good with them I can't quite figure it out, maybe it's because I am with them the majority of the time and they are sick of me. But he has such a special bond with these girls. Something that I love to watch everyday. He has no problem with coming home from early morning meetings at church and helping me bathe and get the girls ready for church, infact he does most of it, so I am not late. He is the one who puts Mckenzie to bed each night and she always makes him tell her funny stories and she just loves that time with him. He lays in bed with her until she falls asleep, so she won't be scared of the "monsters under her bed" . Thanks Sky for being such a great father to our girls!

Valentines Day...

I know it has been a few weeks since Valentines, but I forgot to post so here is goes... so we were in Utah obviously for V-Day. I took Skyler to Magelby's Fresh for breakfast and we had all you can eat french toast, and pancakes with berries and whip cream...only those who live in Utah know what I am talking about when I say they are the best breakfast plates ever! Skyler suprised me (which is so hard to do, cause I usally always find out about things. He had made me a Mac Book of our year 2007! It has every activity and picture for the whole year. It was so amazing to think that he could do something like that! It is now my most prized possession. Thanks so much Skyler! For the evening we were invited to a Valentines Party. The Chandlers were nice enough to invite us to come hang out with the group. We were Casey and Emily's replacement I think since they couldn't come. It was so much fun we hand Choc. Fondue and Pizza Factory Pizza. The highlight of the night was when I was walking inside and it was icy on the sidewalk and I totally biffed it and scraped up my knee pretty badly. It was really embarassing but that is ok. cause I am used to doing things like that. Another fun thing we did was write our spoused a poem and we had to get up and read it in front of everyone. It was so cool to see how everyone wrote their own poems in their own ways about their spouses. I that part of the night. Skyler wrote me a really sweet poem, mine was more funny but it still let him know how much I appreciate him. Thanks so much Chandlers for hosting an awesome party.

Mae Mae is 9 Months Old...

It's so hard to believe that times flies so quickly. My little baby is 9 months old now. She has quite the little personality. She goes with the flow most of the time, and is very adaptable to our schedule each day. We just drove back home to Fresno last week from Utah and she just sat in her car seat the whole time and barely made a peep! (Granted, we did have the movie screen in front of her most of the time consisting of Kenzie's choice The Elf!) But, anyway...We love our little Kaylee so much and we are so happy she is in our family. We took her to the Dr. the other day and she is in the 95% for height, imagine that.. and in the 40 % for weight, a little chunkier than Kenzie was. She is finally cutting her first tooth on the bottom, and loves to eat the puff things from gerber. Well Happy 9 Months "Mae Mae" we sure do love you.... "Mae Mae and Papa Steve, just hanging out and having a sip to drink! This is Banks, (Grant & Tara's boy) we hung out while we were in Utah, it was so fun to see friends. Starting her out early on the blogging world.. she loves to play with Mckenzie's cinderella laptop. She pushes any button and it makes a sound, she also loves to suck on the wand..

I love getting together with all of my friends from Utah. It's been so much fun to get together with all of the kids. When we were living in Chicago I was the only one with a kid. And everyone else was pregnant or had none at the time. Boy, does time fly... Mckenzie is 3 1/2 now and everyone has a least one and some now have two. We went to a place in Spanish Fork that had bouncy things all over. It was really fun! Sanannah, Mckenzie, & KK just clogging up the slide! I thought this was great picture of Jen and KK. What a great mom to go down the slide with her daughter.

We had such a great trip visiting my family in Utah. It was so nice to just get away and hang out everyday. Even if we did nothing it was so nice to just hang out and be home. There Is No Place Like Home! My parents are so great with the girls. They love them so much and can't wait to see them. Mckenzie even slept in there bed with them for 9 straight nights. Thanks mom and dad for being troopers. Here is my mom and Mckenzie making Valentines Day cards. Mckenzie has been really in to wanting to "make crafts" so she loves to just sit down and make things. It's so cute. She did a really great job at designing her own cards. On the left is my sweet sis. alyssa. She was in London and Paris while we were gone so she didn't get to see us this trip to Utah. We did get to use her room though. Thanks so much Alyssa, and we hope to see you soon. Robbie came over on Valentines Day to give Mckenzie some candy. It was so fun for the girls to see him. He is such a great uncle. And so is Joey, we have pictures of him to but they are just on his camera so I need him to send me those pictures if he is reading this. Thanks Joe! The only bummer of the trip was over two days when Kaylee came down with the 24 hour flu, and then the next day Mckenzie got it. We just hung low for those to days which was kind of nice having a reason to have now place to go. Skyler is such a great dad he is so caring to his sweet girls!

Mckenzie's first snowman..not too happy to begin with.. ...a little more interaction and actually helping papa tom decorate the snowman. Now she is a happy girl, once she finally figured out what a snowman was and how you make one. We are a little behind since we live in Cali and we aren't used to the snow. Our first and last snowman of the 2008 winter season! Skyler took this picture of me on Valentines Day out shoveling the walk. We got a ton of snow that morning and so I decided to go use my shoveling skills.. it didn't last longer than 5 minutes before I was back in the house!

Whenever I come to visit I love to get together with my friends from High School. It's so great that we all have stayed to close. As we were talking we couldn't believe that we all ended up with little girls. The funniest thing is that all of these baby girls will all be in the same grade believe it or not. We have them lined up from left to right, oldest to youngest. Mckenzie is in the corner and of course she will be 2 grades older. It's always so much fun to get together. I look forward to seeing everyone again!

Temple Square...

I love to visit Temple Square. I have so many memories of this place, from coming up here as a child to see the christmas lights, to waiting in line with my Young Womens Group and sleeping outside the temple waiting to get in the next morning to the Saturday Session(it was the one where Pres. Hunter was sworn in as Prophet) that was an adventure I will never forget. And the most special, this is where Skyler proposed to me outside in a carriage...and the best part of all is this is where we were married as a family for time and all eternity. We took Mckenzie & Kaylee, along with my parents up to see the Joseph Smith movie. It was a wonderful day that I will never forget. We visited the tabernacle and the visitors center. We chatted with the missionaries that were on temple square and felt of their spirit and love they had for their missions. It was a great day. The movie was amazing and just redefined my testimony for the wonderful Prophet Joseph. He was truly an amazing man and I have only the upmost gratitude and love for that man. The trials he had to endure were endless, as were the saviors but in the end it was a sacrifice for you and me...

We would just like to welcome baby Cooper Dean Cleveland to the world. He was born early this morning @ 1:03 a.m. He was 7 lbs. 10 oz. and 21 inches long. I have a picture of him on my phone, but I am not sure how to get it on the blog, so I am waiting for a picture from Casey as soon as they recover from their long day. We are so happy for Casey & Emily, and we can't wait to get back to Fresno to see their little guy, even though we are having a blast here in Utah

O.K. where do I begin it has been a long day. Well today we went to see the Hannah Montana movie in 3-D. Aunt Katie came and her two friends. It was really fun. Mckenzie did good for the most part, but towards the end she took off her 3-D glasses cause they were bugging her. I even was brave enough to bring the baby and she was great, she fell asleep half way through the movie so that made it even better. So we got that out of the way and then tonight we just got back from the Disney Princess Wishes on Ice. That was the favorite of the day. We went with Mckenzie's friends Bella, & Lauren and their moms and sisters. We had a blast we ate at Cheesecake before and then went to the performance. Mckenzie wore her little Cinderella outfit that my mom got her for Christmas two years ago and she wore in it, and took it off half way through the show kind of like her 3-D glasses. Anyways today was a fun filled day for Mckenzie! It's so much fun having a daughter and taking her to do fun things like this! I love you Mckenzie and thanks for being mommies special date for the day!

President Hinkley dies @ 97...

So It's Sunday night @ about 7:30 California time, and we just barely found out about our sweet prophet and his passing. What a great man he was. I am sure all of you feel the same way that Skyler and I do. You feel so sad inside because the man was so amazing and we have all grown to love him as if he were one of our own grandparents and it will be hard to not see him again in this life, but at the same time it is so wonderful to know that he is with our Father in heaven and his son Jesus Christ. And he is reunited with his sweetheart Majorie. What a special man he was and he will never be forgotten. He has done wonderful things for our church and our hearts go out to his family and loved ones. I will always remember the many times growing up and hearing his voice speak in conference, he was such an easy speaker to listen to as a child, and I loved listening to his stories and his sweet voice. My heart is full of sadness, but yet joy because I know that he is where is supposed to be now. What a great example he has been to all of us, and I am so thankful for him and for the influence that he has been on my behalf. We love you President Hinkley and we know we will all see you again....

Fresno State Bulldogs

Papa Steve or should we say Coach Cleveland Bob & Betty and Mae Mae Mckenzie and Tyson! This past couple of months we have been going to a lot of Bulldog basketball games. The season has quite an interesting one. We have lost 4 of our starters to different reasons like.. nba, health issues, etc... so needless to say we haven't been as great as we thought. What is amazing to me is the players on the team have really come together and tried to make this team. Some games we win and some we loose, but we really enjoy watching Grandpa Steve coach, and Skyler's cousin Tyson who is also on the team. Mckenzie likes to go out onto the court at one of the times outs they let kids come out on the floor and dance. The same cheerleader always comes to get Mckenzie every game to go and dance on the floor. She likes it as long as the bulldog stays far away from her, she is not too fond of him. If you are a Cleveland you better like basketball or you would not fit in very well. We see almost every family member at every game, what a supportive family. We love you papa (that is what Mckenzie calls steve)! And, GO BULLDOGS!

It has been so nice this year that Mckenzie goes to preschool on Tues. & Thurs. mornings. Skyler takes her on his way to work. I look forward to my mornings with Mae Mae, I can lay low until 11:30 when I have to go and pick her up. She has learned so much and even though she has two more years of preschool after this, it has helped her in her social skills as well.

So I am sitting here on a Sunday afternoon blogging because Mckenzie is sick and we didn't go to church today. Skyler is at church today because he is the new Elders Quarum President, and he has meetings after church. I came across this photo that I took last week of Skyler and his Grandpa Bob that I just love. Bob always reminds me of how Skyler will be when he is older. I see so much in the two of them that are alike. I only hope that oneday we can aquire the arrtibutes of Bob & Betty Cleveland. They truly are amazing people, ask anyone who has met them and they will tell you. Skyler and his grandpa also share the same taste in clothing as you can tell in the picture, it was not planned. And of course it wouldn't be right unless there was a basketball in the picture and of course there is. Bob is constantly inviting everyone out to play ball on Tues. & Thurs. afternoons.

Mae Mae has been sick this past week with a bad cold and now she is starting to feel better. You know when babies are sick they don't feel like eating much at all. But, I have been making Kaylee's food homemade and she can totally tell the difference if I open a can I bought from the store, or from the homemade food I made and froze. It just goes to show that everybody likes food homemade, even babies can tell. It also is so much cheaper to make your own baby food and freeze it. I can't believe that she is 7 1/2 months old!
